A Beginner's Guide to Portmoak Weather-Forecasting
The weather at Portmoak airfield, due to the influences of the nearby hills, Loch Leven and Murphy, can be quite different from that even a few miles away. After many years of monitoring, the following guidelines are offered to assist new members and visitors make the most of their time at Portmoak.
1. I can't see the hills.
2. I can see the hills.
If you can't see the hills (which are only about half-a-mile away) it's raining, wait in the clubroom bar.
