Holiday Course Costs

Holiday course pricing is by a menu system so that you can tailor the course within limits to your own requirements. There is a basic charge for the course instruction and the flying time is charged for separately at normal club rates. This is to allow you to decide for yourself whether you want just a pleasant activity holiday, an intensive training course or somewhere in between. It also means that you are not charged if you are unlucky with the weather on any days. Please consult our tariff page for the costs of the various options.

The courses can be either residential or not. If you choose you can stay in the club's comfortable bunkhouse accommodation which has a choice of single- or twin-bedded rooms with washbasin (shower facilities are also available). Depending on how busy we are it is possible for family non-course members to be accommodated too at normal club rates. The site has ample space for visitors who wish to bring a caravan, mobile-home or tent, though you are advised to book as early as possible. There is a large selection of hotel, cottage and bed-and-breakfast accommodation to suit all tastes and pockets within easy reach in the surrounding area and a selection is listed here.

A complete range of home-cooked meals is available in the club's restaurant from a full Scottish breakfast, enough to keep you going all day,  through snacks, lunches and a large choice of evening meals. After the day's flying the bar provides a comfortable meeting place to trade your experiences with fellow course-members or perhaps chew things over with club members and instructors.
